To the one who just found out…
I know it hurts; I know you’re in shock, unable to breathe, eat, think, or sleep.
You feel like your world just cracked wide open, and in some ways, it has.
But understand this clearly; you’re not unlovable, you’re not disposable, and you’re not broken.
Right now you’re grieving and grieving takes time.
So let the storm in your heart rage and allow yourself to feel whatever you need to feel.
I promise, you won’t feel this way forever.
To the one who’s blaming themselves…
You didn’t cause their betrayal by being imperfect; there was nothing wrong with you.
You didn’t invite the pain by loving them.
You were always enough; they just weren’t honest.
You’re allowed to release the shame that doesn’t belong to you because it was never yours to begin with.
You are still worthy of a love that’s loyal, and that feels safe.
To the one who wants to go back…
Don’t romanticise what broke you just because the unknown is scary.
I know it’s tempting because the love from your side was always genuine, but you deserve more than someone’s disloyalty.
They knew what they were doing, and they knew they were hurting you.
Give yourself the chance to heal and when the time is right find someone better than the person they were.
You’re worth more than the pain they gave to you.
And you’re worth someone’s unconditional love and commitment.
To the one who feels like they’ll never love again…
You will!
Not because you should just move on at some point, but because your heart was made to love.
And maybe love might not look like what it once used to, but that’s okay.
Next time it might arrive quietly, unexpected, and wrapped in respect, peace, and consistency.
And this time you’ll know what the red flags look like, and you’ll know what you’re not willing to tolerate.
Your pain will become your power and you will love again, because you’ll love yourself first.
To the one who’s healing…
Here you are; you’re not the victim in your story, you’re the hero who overcame it.
You’ve cried more tears than you can remember, and you’ve questioned your worth more times than you can count.
But you never gave up and that’s courage and growth right there.
You might not be quite the same person that you were, but that’s the point.
That’s healing in motion!
And to the one who just found out, your healing and who you’ve become is truly an inspiration…
