They will see your kind and loving heart.
They will see your beautiful soul.
They will subtly weave their way in.
They will start by love bombing you.
They will tell you about how connected they feel and how they’re so glad they’ve finally found their soulmate.
They will tell you they've never found anyone like you before and that they can't believe how compatible you both are.
They will become a part of your life.
They will watch for a while as they study your weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
They will then try to start “protecting” you from them by keeping others away.
They will begin to isolate you.
They will begin to dismantle your support network.
They will project their own insecurities onto you.
They will start to question what you do and who you are.
They will question your values.
They will constantly test your boundaries.
They will escalate the intensity of their loving moments and convince you to start building a life together.
They will convince you to pool your resources.
They will then begin neglecting your love languages deliberately.
They will leave you begging just to feel loved.
They will create problems and then blame you for them.
They will deflect when you try to point out to them something that they have done that you don’t like.
They will manipulate what others think of you by telling false stories and lies.
They will tell people that you are extremely unwell.
They will humiliate you.
They will become your gatekeeper.
They will leave you feeling alone, isolated, and lonely.
They will decimate your self-worth.
They will crush your self-esteem.
They will bury your confidence.
They will abuse your boundaries.
They will utilise and drain all of your resources.
They will destroy you financially.
They will impact your emotional and mental well-being.
They will impact your physical health.
They will destroy every single piece of you that they can.
They will leave you with nothing and then tell you that everything was your fault.
They will tell you to be better because you’ll never do better than them.
Then one day you’ll have had enough and finally take a stand.
You will be emotional, hurting, and bruised.
You will tell them exactly how they've hurt you.
They will then discard you because they’ve broken you beyond repair that they now no longer have a use for you.
They will then block you everywhere to avoid taking accountability for what they did.
They will destroy your credibility and reputation through their lies and false accusations that they create.
They will play the victim and label you as the abuser.
They will leave you the most broken you’ve ever been.
They will leave you the most alone you’ve even been.
They will leave you with the mess that they created.
They will leave you to pick up all of the broken pieces.
They will leave you a shell of who you once were.
And they will leave you wondering how you could ever trust another person ever again.
