Speaking your truth is to tell your story, the real version…
When we speak the truth it’s sometimes hard for others to hear it.
It’s sometimes uncomfortable.
One person will listen, another won’t…
Maybe because they don’t want to acknowledge the truth, maybe they just don’t want to hear it.
Maybe it’s easier for them to live in a blissful ignorance than face an uncomfortable truth.
Some people will negate the truth completely, simply because it challenges their own beliefs or because they lack the emotional intelligence to be able to see something from all angles.
When someone or something challenges a persons belief system, their natural reaction is to become defensive.
Once those thick stubborn walls made of steel go up, there is no point continuing until they’re ready to let those walls down and listen with an open mind.
Your truth matters.
It really doesn’t matter if others don’t see it, or choose not to see it.
Your truth is important to you.
You know the REAL story!
The one that actually happened, not the version that’s been made up and crafted by someone who doesn’t want to take accountability.
Guard your truth, because your truth is your integrity.
Allow yourself to be free from those that won’t show integrity, and those that won’t listen to the truth.
You mind deserves the peace, and sometimes you just have to accept that you are going to be the villain in someone’s story…
